"I bought 1 1/2 ton Kenwood inverter A/C but regret to inform that it’s outer PCB became faulty after just two years and was repaired by R&I electrical appliances and was charged 6,100 including visit charges. After only 6 moths this session the outer PCB again became faulty and it was replaced by charging 19,800 including visiting charges but the PCB outer card was brought and fixed which was unsealed and unwrapped without any warranty and the technician left two screw unbolted on the roof. In two years my two inverter ac were innner gas leaked and gas filling carried out by charging 6,500 each . This is the performance of Kenwood. "

"My air conditioner has started to malfunction in October, 2019 after buying it in February, 2019 from Kenwood, Karachi, Pakistan. The fault is that the inner gas had leaked due to unknown reason. I would like to add here its not the fault of the AC or Kenwood that I am angry at, it’s the way I have been treated by “After Sales & Support” of Kenwood in Karachi. After I informed Kenwood Pakistan in October, 2019 about the problem they sent me a technician after 1 week. The technician charged me PKR 600/- just for looking at the AC even though it’s under warranty. Since then I have been informed that Kenwood Support is actually dealt by a company called R&I Electrical. This company’s employee informed me that my AC will be picked from my home for which I have to pay PKR. 1300/- from my pocket. I also agreed for that but after that it has been 2 weeks and the company hasn’t contacted me yet! I even called them several times but no reply was received. I was then informed on the phone that the AC will only be picked from my house when the company’s car (R&I) will go towards my neighborhood and when my house is on the route for the company truck. Since that day of first diagnostic visit, it has been 2 weeks! No one has even came to my house for picking the AC. My Question: Does Kenwood International Company have any internal audit or external audit requirements after which they issue license to any companies for franchises to use Kenwood’s brand name? Because if they do then I don’t think that Kenwood Pakistan is doing a good job and are definitely destroying Kenwood brand image."

Your process of lodging complaints, visit of Kenwood representative to identify the issue, lifting of item for service and repair and installing of repaired item have no integration and monitoring mechanism. "We bought 7 Kenwood ACs 10 months back. One of the ACs was not working. R&I visited and charged Rs. 600 and also charged Rs. 1300 for transportation. I was told that AC will be repaired within 3 days but it took 15 days! After 2 days of re-installation the AC again not working. It is very difficult to contact R&I staff. It is a pathetic after sales support and I highly recommend NOT TO BUY KENWOOD with such a bad support."

Kenwood sent a technician who charged Rs.600 for a single visit and informed me that we have to take outer to our service center for an additional charge of Rs.1300. Even no one from Kenwood customer support identify what the exact issue was. They have only concern with visiting charges and transportation charges. Simply a worst product with worst customer support. Recommend not to buy product of those brands which have customer support like Kenwood in Pakistan."
"I bought Kenwood semi-automatic washing machine last October, about 10 months back with a one year warranty. Since then the spinner has broken about 8 times. Every single time a technician was sent to fix it who claimed to be of a separate company contracted with Kenwood. Anyways I paid him Rs. 550/- for each visit. For the fifth time I requested they collect this machine and give me a new one as it seems to have some manufacturing defect but they offered to send a technician free of charge for the sixth time who was not willing to touch the machine without the payment. Anyways the matter was resolved over the phone with R&I but the spinner broke again in less than a week. I called the technician on his mobile and he said he knows the problem with machine and that there is a part required to fix it but he wont do it until we pay him a call out charge again. I complained to R&I again who sent another technician last month who told us machine is poorly built and suggested we buy a separate spinner next time. The spinner broke again today and when contacted the customer service and requested they get their manager to talk to me and that I want this machine replaced. I was told that it is not their company policy to replace units; however I can go to their dealership in Lahore and request them (actually beg them) to replace it and it will be all down to them to honor my request or not. The manager was not available as usual and there is no company policy that their managers or supervisor call their customers back and they ask me to call another time. Well what they don't know is that consumer courts exists in Pakistan, not very efficient but they are there for us. They consumer law says that if a customer is not fully satisfied with the product or if the product is damaged or broke within warranty and consumer do not want to have it back. The company must either replace their products or return the full amount of product charged to consumer. I suggest all the buyers to avoid all Kenwood products."
"I regret to have wasted my hard earned money by buying 3 Kenwood Inverter air conditioners. During installation one had a problem. Installer said you just call the Kenwood Customer Care and they will fix it. Pathetic service and no one in Kenwood bothers to care. It is 12 days now that Kenwood took out PCB to replace it and I am chasing them but they are giving no response as to when would I receive the replacement. Point to be noted here is that this was a brand new air conditioner. I would not recommend Kenwood at all to anyone. Do not waste your money on this brand. Hope they improve their services."

The Helpline tells me for past 2 weeks that the required parts to be replaced have been issued to the representative. "We purchased Kenwood Washing Machine Model: KWM-950SA on 23rd of August 2017 from North Appliance House at North Nazimabad, Karachi. From the day of purchase we were not satisfied with the performance of the machine. It gave us pain and tension. I registered many complaints which can be tracked through my phone number. "I have bought Kenwood Amore brand split air conditioner in June, 2016 from New Glacier Electronic vide receipt number 048 for Rs 36,500. It developed a fault and I complaint to the local service centre on 7th August 2017. My complaint number was 204647-khi-3-5-1240. A technician from Kenwood visited, checked the internal unit and informed me that gas has leaked from here and charged me Rs. 600 as visit charges. Then he informed me that company transport will pick the unit and after repairs will return the unit back. From first week of August till 27th of August, I have made several calls to the service centre to collect the faulty unit and they have not sent anyone up till now. This in spite of the fact that my residential address is just two to three kilometers from the service centre. As a result I have been forced to repair the unit locally. My Questions: 1- Is this the level of after sales and repair service provided by Kenwood. 2- Why internal unit's pipes leaked within 14 months of purchase. Kenwood should look at the service level of R&I Electrical Appliances and investigate the delay."
"I purchased two new Kenwood Inverters Air Conditioners from Al-Ghaffar Electronics for Rs.50,000/- each, total amount paid Rs. 100,000/- vide Receipt No.30757 dated 6/Sep/2016. I started to use these in June 2017. Literally I am weeping on purchase of these ACs as both units keep giving faults frequently. Until now these have been repaired by the Service Center four times each. I received one unit back after repairing on 22nd of August while the other unit was reported on 25th August and today (28/Aug/2017) it was checked by technician who informed that it needs to be taken to the workshop. This is going on again and again. Each time I have to pay Rs. 600/- per visit charges of technician and Rs. 1300/- for transportation while units are still under warranty. Either your technicians are not competent or Kenwood Air Conditioners are not reliable to purchase. Nether Al-Ghaffar nor Service Center is willing to replace these faulty units nor they are providing any permanent solution. How I can recommend to others when I am facing such issues myself?"

Since than I have been visiting and calling on a daily basis and on 19 June when I visited the centre, Mr. Zeeshan informed that card is not available and I can come on 21st June if we didn't get the card than option remain to change the unit by paying depreciation amount. Today I visited and in-charge customer centre informed that they will check and will repair the card to make it serviceable. In this hot and humid weather in Ramadan my whole family is suffering! This is how low Kenwood's after sales service is for under warranty products. Request to help and get me compensated for my suffering to trust Kenwood products."
