It was a sunny afternoon in October 1969, when students were returning home from nearby schools and colleges on Katrak Road, Saddar, Karachi. A man of around forty, Haji Muhammad Amin, was standing behind a stall which had a few plates and a bucket full of aromatic, flavorsome Biryani rice. The sign board above the stall said Café Student.
Passersby were enticed by the beautiful aroma and smell of this unique food and could not resist but to try a plate. This was the beginning of Café Student. From a humble start to becoming a brand, from a brand to a trend and from a trend to an icon.
Café Student has come a long way. This has of course been possible through extreme hard work, a clear vision and unfailing customer loyalty.
Today we are called Student Biryani, with eight restaurants spread across Karachi serving with the same dedication and commitments towards quality, hygiene and taste. Student Biryani also offers Corporate Catering services.
