Specialization: Federal Board of Revenue – FBR, the successor organization to The Central Board of Revenue, is an autonomous body formed under the FBR Act 2007. FBR has the mandate to enhance the capability of the taxation system to collect due taxes through application of modern techniques, providing taxpayer assistance and by creating a motivated, satisfied, dedicated and professional workforce. FBR headquarter is located in Islamabad with regional offices in Karachi, Lahore, Faisalabad, Sargodha, Abbottabad, Sukkur, Multan, Peshawar, Rawalpindi, Quetta, Sialkot and Gujranwala. The Inland Revenue Department of the FBR deals with the collection of Sales Tax, Income Tax and Federal Excise Duty and the Customs Department deals with collection of Custom Duties. FBR is headed by a Chairman who is assisted by 11 Members and 21 Director Generals.
