City Supermarket either in Rawalpindi or Islamabad, they are far more expensive than any other local retail store in twin cities. Compare its prices with Cosmo, CSD, Barsa, Madina Cash & Carry or with any other retail store like Best Price etc. They are charging much high prices in all categories of local and imported items. I keep on reviewing and analysing retail stores in twin cities. Just on 14th June, 2012, I did shopping worth Rs 977/- only from City Supermarket Saddar branch. When I compare the prices the results were:- Mitchells Mango Squash 810 ml...mentioned price on bottle Rs 140/- City Super price Rs 142/-. Imported Sunsilk 700ml...Normal market price Rs 295/- CitySuper price Rs 325/- . In short City Supermarket is 6.5% more expensive than any other local retailer. That is If you shop worth Rs 10,000/- a month... You will save Rs 650/- by not shopping from City Supermarket and going to Cosmo or CSD."
