Specialization: KP Food Safety & Halal Food Authority is the food licensing, inspection and registration authority established by the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhawa in the year 2014 to standardize the quality of food products being manufactured and sold in the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhawa. The Authority has the mandate to certify food products and regulate the food business industry of the province. In this regards KP Food Safety & Halal Food Authority has been empowered to issue licenses and register food businesses in the province. The Authority is also responsible for formulating and enforcing clear guidelines and standard operating procedures to ensure HALAL FOOD compliance and to maintain a minimum required food safety and quality standard. The head office of KP Food Safety & Halal Food Authority is located in Peshawar with regional offices in Abbottabad, Bannu, Kohat, Mardan, Dera Ismail Khan and Swat.
