The main function of RCB include garbage collection and disposal, daily rubbish removal of 370 tons including green waste, building material, debris and animal waste. RCB is also chatrges with the maintenance of public parks, development of kids paly areas, open air sitting areas and seasonal plantation of trees, shrubs and grass. RCB is also charged with the maintenance of roads, public buildings and street lighting. RCB also maintains their indiginous fire brigade with a fire squad of 30 fire-men to cater to any emergency fire situation.
