"We are suffering at the hands of KESC since the last few months. I am not complaining about load shedding which is over six hours per day in our area, as we have accepted it as our fate. The problem is that there are painfully long breakdowns that are taking place very frequently. In August, we had two such breakdowns after an interval of two days. These breakdowns lasted for almost 15 to 20 hours. The complaint center in our area does not answer the phone. When we call 118, they do not have any answers. They tell us that work is in progress and the power shall be restored soon or within two hours and those two hours never end. Today (7th September), we are again going through the same agony. Last time we saw light was 6th September at 4:30 p.m. It is already past 21 hours and there is no power. Agreed that there was rain, but where is the rain emergency. No phone calls were answered the entire night, including 118."
"KESC has now improved its performance overall. To improve area-wise complains some course of time is still required. At KESC Call Centre they pick the phone and attend the query but they don't have complete information. For example in our area (Model Colony Sheet-25) load shedding timings have been increased. On asking the Call Centre we were told that they don't have any information and our loading shedding is as previous, that is 3 hours in a day, and asked us to contact the Area Complain Centre. My basic complain is that the Area Complain Centres are not working efficiently. They are not picking the phone and no pain for consumers. Kindly improve it on SOS basis."
