OPF is an autonomous body managed by a Board of Governors and under the policy directions of Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis & Human Resource Development. OPF Financial Aid Scheme was introduced in 1980 to provide financial assistance to the destitute families of overseas Pakistanis in the event of death or permanent disability while working abroad. OPF Eye Hospital was established in D.G Khan in the year 1994. OPF Scholarship Program was launched for the children of overseas Pakistanis.
