Specialization: Technical Education & Vocational Training Authority – TEVTA, established in the year 1999, is a vocational education and technical training initiative of the Government of Punjab to equip the youth of Punjab with the necessary technical skills essential to meet the demands of the ever-evolving job market. TEVTA manages and operates 400 technology colleges and government vocational education and technical training centers, located in every district of Punjab. TEVTA offers 3-year duration DAE programs, 1 and 2-year duration vocational diploma and certificate programs and a large number of short courses, designed as per the needs of technical manpower required in the respective districts of the province as well as promoting entrepreneurship amongst the youth. TEVTA maintains a close liaison with the Chambers of Commerce and Associations of Punjab to assess their manpower needs and the relevant technical skills required by the industry. The Headquarter of TEVTS is located in Lahore.
