Specialization: Rice Exporters Association of Pakistan - REAP is an independent trade body representing the interested of private rice processors and exporters of Pakistan. REAP has the mandate of coordination among all the stake holders of the rice industry, such as growers, millers, traders and exporters to enhance the cultivation and trade of rice in the country. REAP also engages with the Government of the day, to formulate and advise on policies and reforms for the rice sector in Pakistan. REAP plays an important role in the export of basmati and non-basmati rice varieties from Pakistan by introducing latest technology, removing bottlenecks and bureaucratic hurdles such as import of milling machinery and promoting research in the field of rice to enhance the quality as well as rice varieties being grown in the country. In the year 2023-24, REAP achieved a major milestone by recording USD 4 Billion exports of rice from Pakistan.
