"My account is in HBL Plaza branch which was in-active due to long time not in use. I visited branch on 20-Aug-2020 and provided all required documents. Completed the bio-metric verification. The representative said that account will be active in next three days, but this has not happened. I am calling on HBL help line since 27-Aug-2020 but answer is still the same ''''your account is in active your complain is in process'''''. I am very disappointed by this type of behavior as our company HYDRO CHINA is corporate client of HBL, and if this is what is done to corporate clients than I don't know what will be happening to the ordinary folks maintaining their accounts in HBL!"
"I did a transaction of PKR. 2,405 at J. outlet on Saturday night around 9:30 pm through my HBL debit card. But the transaction failed. I again did the transaction and again the transaction failed. When I checked my account balance I found Rs. 4,810 was deducted from my account. Since then I am trying to reach out to HBL helpline. I have visited my branch also. I have sent an email, I have sent text message, but my issue is still remains. I need that amount on urgent basis. Kindly sort this matter out as soon as possible, otherwise please just tell me where do I have to contact for its reversal. Its so disappointing."
"HBL, Nishtar Medical College branch manager is uncooperative. My lockers lock is not opening, despite my repeated requests. Locksmith is being awaited for the past 6 months. But rent fee is being deducted from my account very regularly. It's not banking, it's defrauding!!!"
"HBL help line system is the best example of worst banking helpline system ever! I am try to contact phone banking officer for the past 4 days but there is no one who attends the call. Shame on you HBL Pakistan!"
"For the last 4 days, whenever I perform mobile top-up, invalid account message appears on the screen, which is quite frustrating as I am the customer account holder since 28-06-2005. So I called on HBL Helpline and they advised that a "Table 3 096 Condition" has occurred and I need to visit the branch. Today I visited and cleared Table 3 096 Condition, but the problem has yet not been resolved. What a great service HBL has, truly ....... HBL جہاں خواب وہاں!"
"I closed my business account at HBL Main Branch, Chakwal due to unprofessional, untrained and non-cooperative behavior of staff. Not recommending any one to open account in any HBL branch."
"HBL has the worst banking system in Pakistan. Unprofessional, non-cooperative staff. I would never suggest for any one to open an account with HBL!"
"I have was always preferred HBL over other banks in Pakistan. I am keeping a PLS accounts with HBL since long even lockers as well. My current account is in HBL, Block 6, PECHS branch. Today I had the worst experience with your branch. I was in need of a sudden withdrawal, from my account due to a domestic urgency. Now if I am maintaining a current account, I should have easy access to my funds but the behavior of the branch manager was like its not mine. I felt very bad, no customer caring attitude at all. The frustrating bit is that the branch manager kept on insisting that the security van is delayed and would arrive any moment. He kept me waiting up til 3:44 pm, continuously telling lies that the van is on way. Bankers should have the courage to speak the truth, as the buck stops with them. It gives the worst possible impression of your whole banking system and staff that how carefree you people are with your customers. After being at the receiving end of such unethical and pathetic services one thing is for sure that I am not making any further transactions through HBL anymore. It seems you people are not the custodian but the real owners of our funds and we are just poor people begging for our own money."
"I had plenty of money in my HBL Account till 4 pm, 3rd of Jan 2018. But within a few hours without me making any transaction I was left with a Negative -175,000 rupees in my account. When I went to get petrol using my debit card it said insufficient funds and after checking my balance from an ATM I found out a negative amount. Customer support piked up after 30 minutes and said we don't know what happened as no withdrawal is reflecting in the system but you can go to your branch tomorrow. After immense frustration and over 16 hours the matter got settled but no one at HBL took responsibility neither any one from the bank called to apologize for the immense mental pain and embarrassment this whole episode caused me."
"Very disappointed with the customer services at HBL, Nursery branch staff!"
"Really sad to see HBL distributing fake notes of Rs 500/= denomination! I had the most embarrassing experience of my life when I tried to use the cash withdrawn from Habib Bank, Uni Shopping Center Branch, Peshawar at a local hospital and the notes were detected as fake."
"Really disappointed with the service of HBL!"
"Really disappointed with HBL helpline service!"
"Most ill mannered, discourteous and unreasonable bank staff at HBL, PAC Kamra branch! Highly disappointing service, seems they are doing business in the 18th century. They treat employees of Pakistan Air Force as if we are Indians. Total disrespect for their customers."
"Really disappointed from HBL Helpline! After a long wait one Mr. Kashif attended my call but refused to register my complaint. He also refused to give me the cell no of high ups, so I could lodge a complain with them. Very disappointing, seriously thinking to close my account with HBL!"
"HBL Farooqabad Branch Staff is extremely rude to the customers! They have no knowledge of customer dealing and use insulting language with all customers. HBL Management should think about this and rectify this situation!"
"Very poor response from local executive of HBL branch in Mardan!"
"HBL is a totally careless bank! They have no any clear descriptions or SOPs for their staff who are behaving very irresponsibly with customers at their spatially located branch at F-6 Super Market, Islamabad. Hope some one from the higher management takes notice of this!!!"
"Pathetic service at Habib Bank ATM machines. I came out this morning to withdraw some money. Tried three different ATMs and none of them is working. Then I tried to transfer funds through internet banking. The link is down since yesterday night and the helpline very kindly told me that they are unsure when will it be fixed. The I called the HBL Head Office in Karachi to speak to somebody responsible ... ironically my call was dropped three times but I continued calling again and again. Still have not been able to speak to anybody and particularly Mr. Jamshed Hansota whose name was given to me to speak to. Really sad and disappointing!!!!"
"I have faced a tragedy that my HBL internet account was hacked on 29.6.2016! I launched the complaint on same date when I got the message on my cell for transaction, as it was not done from my side. I informed the bank that the transaction was done at its Dawood Centre and Rashid Minhas Road branches, because both accounts were from the same login. Up till now HBL staff has not given me any response. My PKR 300,000 amount has been hacked because of the week IT system of HBL! I am very fed up and not know the status will my amount be recovered or not."
"Mr. Numan Dar is requested to take necessary action against Phone Banking Officer vide Complain No.0156 and 2006160068 from Dec, 2015 not solved till yet! An ATM CARD on my name has been issued in December, 2015 but I have not received it till date. A second ATM CARD has been issued again on my name on 14-Apr-2016 but not received to me till date. Why have TWO ATM Cards been issued on my name when I have not requested for the same? If cards are issued on my name but not received by me till date then who is responsible? My complain No.0156 dated 1-JUN-2016 has been closed without taking any action in this regard. After waiting for 20 days no action has been initiated. I again requested to phone banking officer, he told me that your complain has already been closed. I again Lodge a complain on 20-JUN-2016 but no avail till date. HBL Management is requested to look into my issues!"
"My link with HBL is since my childhood but I am really disappointed by its dealing. I am settled abroad and frequently send remittance but it gets delayed for as long as two months. Complained about it several times but to no avail. Recently HBL has started deducting UK-£ 57 POUNDS STERLING and these are held for a period of up to one month without any reason. My request is to the higher management of HBL to look into these serious issues and rectify them as your bank is a premier institute of Pakistan!"
"Phone Banking officers are always busy! It's been 2 weeks, I am trying to contact but have just wasted my balance."
"I am consumer of HBL District Pakpattan, Baba Farid Branch code 1180. I am very disappointed from this branch employees because they are not cooperative, I faced many problems, this branch always late in any transaction like pay transfer and when I make call to complain not listen!!! This branch has a huge rate of customers but in the whole city there is only one ATM which is regularly shut down when consumers need money, which is very frustrating!"
"Whenever I want to contact HBL, I have to listen to the tape for 5 to 10 minutes with the message that all representatives are busy! This is a simple loss of credit. My question is simple, in case of emergency how a person can get in touch with HBL??"
"Habib Bank Limited is a good bank but I've one problem with them. When bank decreases its interest rates it is automatically applied to all your money and account but when bank increases its interest rates HBL wants us to come and re-invest the money in their new rates account. This is not feasible for me and my husband because we live in London! I don't know how to sort out this problem. On top, I can't keep activating my account every year to check my balance. This issue needs to be looked into by the management of HBL!"
"HBL has been a pioneer among the banks in Pakistan, particularly in introducing a number of innovative banking products and services. For the first time in the history of Pakistan, these multifarious products mostly in the shape of saving schemes have been introduced by HBL with brand names. This has set the trend and many other banks, both local and foreign, have since followed in HBL’s footsteps, by launching new products and services, on similar lines. HBL’s product innovation is particularly geared towards the development of branchless banking in order to focus on financial inclusion and to be able to provide banking services to an increasing number of people across Pakistan."
