Bashir Design Furniture was established by Mr. Bashir Ahmed in the year 1960 when woodworking was more a craft than a scientifically established technology. Starting with meagre resources, Mr. Bashir Ahmed was able to setup a small woodworking facility in the city of Gujrat. Having a flare for design, Mr. Bashir soon established a unique reputation in crafting exquisite home furniture and in just ten years of it's operations Bashir Design Furniture exported their first order to Japan.

Today the business has passed over to the second generation of the family and Mr. Bashir Ahmed's son Mr. Muhammad Afzal now runs the company but remains loyal to the principals and ethos set forth by his father. With the passage of time furniture manufacturing has become more and more challenging with ever increasing costs of labour and raw materials. The customers have also become more quality concious and demand the very best. To meet these challenges, Mr. Afzal has invested heavily in the latest wood machining technologies and training of the human resource in the art of wood crafting.
