"Most horrible products! Got a water dispenser from Orient and it leaked in the very first week. Complaint and the technician visited two times but was unable to fix the leak. Finally had to take the unit to Johar Town, Lahore service centre where they checked and declared it completely fit. Then showed them a video of the leaking dispenser in order to convince them that the unit was not fit at all. Finally after watching the video the technicians accepted, located the fault and fixed it. Since then the dispenser is working fine but the ordeal narrated above has taught me that it is much better to pay more for a foreign brand then placing your trust in a local one to save a couple of thousand bucks."
"Complaint number 300845052 lodged on June 14, 2019 about refrigerator door problem, made 5 more phone calls on help line, no body contacted till now. Very bad experience of Orient after sales!"
"Third class products and third class after sale service! Not satisfied at all!"
"We bought a new Jupiter air-conditioner DC Inverter 1.5 tons but it is not working. It did not even passed the first 5 days. Now I have complained on Helpline, and was informed that technician will visit us within 24 hours! Now more then 4 days have passed no one bother to respond. We spent so much money on this air-conditioner but in response we get nothing but hassle. Totally ridiculous! I think we should boycott Orient brand! Really disappointing!!!"
"Very bad and disappointing service. Purchased a Mitsubishi inverter. Its motherboard got faulty after few months of use. Since then we are trying to get hold of the service center to buy the new motherboard but, they being very non professional, rudely reply in the negative all the time. Its been 6 months now but still the answer is the same "motherboard is not available what can we do"!"
"I purchased a water dispenser online on 26th Sep 2017 and it was delivered on 4th October 2017. On opening it was found that it's refrigeration is not working. Since that day I kept on calling Orient Service Center and after repeated calls and emails they finally sent their technician to check the fault on 9th October 2017. He took the dispenser back for replacement and since then I am waiting for the new one or refund. Neither they attend my calls nor respond to my emails. This is my first interaction with Orient and I found it pathetic in services. Moreover, they are also not returning my money back!!!! "
"I received the following SMS, dated 26-May-2017 - For Lifetime Warranty of Orient DC Inverter. The Warranty Certificate will reach you via email or post. Batch No: 9480002164, Certificate No: OGC0004389. Unfortunately till now the Warranty Certificate has NOT REACHED ME. As a Orient Home Appliances customer I am very disappointed with this attitude of the company. I spent my whole day on 18th of May 2017 when I visited the store of Orient Home Appliances to book my order and to get my appliance registered to get the Life Time Warranty Certificate. I spend my time, money and effort. Now I feel Orient is just selling the appliances but not caring about their commitments. It's such a headache."
"Long story short. Bought an Invertech series 1.5 ton Orient split air conditioner - Model: OS-19 MD 14M IN-HC just 2.5 years back. The PCB kit gone faulty rest of all other parts seem fine. Calling and running here and there after sales service and all that. The response I get on each call is that the parts may be available in 2-3 months. Where to go and what to do! I at least have never seen such response by a corporate. Called almost every number I could find on the internet to approach Orient and find a solution - but all in vein. Every one's response is "silence" or "rude". What they want me to do probably is to scrap it and buy a new one. Very disappointing!"
"Orient Home Appliances delivered 3 units from 4 years old stock of 1.5 ton Split Air-Conditioners model OS-19UGW vide Invoice No. 1700005064 dated 28th January 2017 for Rs.134,700/- to The LRBT Free Eye Hospital Korangi, Karachi. We reported to Mr. Shahzad Sharif and Mr. Tariq of corporate sales for supplied of 4 years old dead stock to a charity hospital not accepted but they did not agree for replacement even not give the reason for delivery of old dead stock which is totally cheating with customers especially in case of corporate customers. LRBT sent more than 50 emails to Mr. Shahzad Sharif and Mr. Tariq of Orient for replacement but till to date they have not arranged the replacement of fresh stock. In our last e-mail dated 20-04-2017 again requested for replacement otherwise we have no other option to serve them with a legal notice."
"I bought 1.5-ton Orient Convertible Air Conditioner in April-2016, with three years warranty. In Dec-2016 the inner unit of the a/c started leaking gas. I gave the unit to the After Sales Service department in Lahore with all the required warranty documents. After 7 days I got the unit back on 1-Feb-2017 with comments by one Mr. Asrhaf, that the faulty part has been replaced with a new one. I took the unit and asked a contractor to install the same and to my surprise I was told that nothing has been replaced, rather to cover the leakage, the After Sales Service department has put lacquer at the leakage point and that too was charged from my pocket. Again running after the Orient team I sent back the unit to the After Sales Service department. Now as I was expecting, Mr. Rao Naveed, the Manager and Mr. Ashraf both are not even receiving my calls. No one is ready to take responsibility to update me. To be honest with all this running around, I have had the worst experience of buying ORIENT product. Never again will I make such a mistake again!"
"Mitsubishi Brand is a sign of Quality products. In Pakistan, Mitsubishi Air Conditioners are imported in parts and assembled by Orient Electronics (Pvt) Ltd at their Lahore Factory. We purchased 25 Nos. One Tone Mitsubishi Split Air Conditioners for Pakistan Navy. Within 6 months of operation, the ACs started malfunctioning. It was observed that all nine inner units u-bands had leaked and required replacement. The condition of the inner and outer units showed a clear picture of substandard materials and workmanship. Within 06 months, the condition of ACs have deteriorated to such an extent that any one can guess that they will not run any more. Under such a condition Orient should offer replacement, however, they have intimated to us that they will only repair the units by replacing the defective U-Bands and that too by charging a substantial amount. The ACs are sold with warranty of (3+1) years, whereas only half the period of warranty is passed. It is pertinent to mention that we are a large customer of Mitsubishi Air Conditioners purchasing over 1000 units a year. Orient Electronics management is requested to please oblige their warranty responsibility and replace the defected units at the earliest."
"I bought a new 1.5 Ton Invertor AC Ultron Series on 19th of May 2016. Now the AC is giving an Error Code E-5 on the panel. I'm running after the after sales people but sorry to say none is giving response despite the AC is well within the warranty period. Poor state of after sales services!!"
"I bought a Orient fridge a few months back. The shelves of the fridge door were made of very thin material and therefore both shelves broke after a few days usage. I then went to your office at Nisbat Road, to buy new shelves. There I met Mr. Qamar with a gentle face and beard on his face. He looked like a gentleman to me so I informed him about my issue and requested for two new shelves. But to my amazement he refused point blank and started misbehaving with me. So I request to you to use good materials in your products which are reliable. Also appoint someone who at least has manners to talk with customers. I also want to mention that I have only used Dawlance appliances which are very good and reliable but wanted to experience your brand for the first time, which turned out to be a big mistake!"
"I will never recommend anyone to purchase Orient products! They are very poor in quality and they do not provide any after sales service. Their dealers in Rawalpindi, M/s. Afzal Electronics are not cooperative and completely non professional. Had a very bad experience with them, so be aware!"
"I will never recommend anyone to get ORIENT PRODUCTS, they have a poor After Sales Service and the dealer from where I got the air conditioner assured me that ORIENT guys will visit you in a day but more than four days have passed and I am still waiting for my complain to be addresses."
"Highly impressed by products made by a Pakistani Company. Keep it up and Allah bless you and your ORIENT Group progress day and night!"
